WHY SAUDI ARABIA? WHY NOW?
In-line with the VISION 2030, Saudi Arabia is embarking on an incredibly ambitious programme of economic diversification and liberalisation. With the aim to ring in a new chapter in its history, a range of new developments have been made to position the Kingdom as a leisure destination, not only for its residents but for overseas visitors as well.
A few of the reforms include lifting a decade-long ban on cinemas with 350 more to open by 2030; construction of a large entertainment city roughly the size of Las Vegas; 16 entertainment complexes, an aquatic centre, theme parks and more. According to a new industry report, the Saudi entertainment and amusement sector is forecast to be worth $1.17 billion by 2030 and grow by a massive 47.65% per year. The US-based Research and Markets study said that the growth compares with just $23.77 million in 2020.
With major advancements; from fashion to opera, festivals to concerts, and movie watching to filmmaking, the country is all set to make its entertainment ambitions a reality.
SEA & SLS Expo brings together government bodies, procurement professionals, owners, architects, consultants, and developers involved in these entertainment and leisure projects to meet local and international suppliers to source products that they need to change the outlook of the country.
